In this final installment of our “Standing Still” series, photographer Jodi Hilton shows you Stewart’s life — and we hear about the COVID and cancer scares that have impacted her family. Stewart says it has been tough fitting in in Concord, a wealthy suburb outside of Boston. “if you’re not from Concord, you don’t belong. Among the throngs of rickshaw drivers competing for fares in Phnom Penh, Luka Meas stands out due to his Bronx-accented English. He was deported back to his native Cambodia from the U.S. in 2011. At a time when Trump is calling for immigrants with criminal convictions to be deported, dozens more Cambodian refugees are expected to be deported this year, adding to the nearly 600 deported since 2002.
