I am the cofounder of a solar powered mobile cinema Sunshine Cinema. My husband and I run an apprenticeship based production company Makhulu out of Cape Town working across Africa with 13 years in the industry. Past clients include Redbull, Volkswagen, United Nations, Doctors Without Borders, UNAIDS, and the Childrens Radio Foundation. We strive on telling ethical stories about social impact using media as a tool for engagement to break down barriers. As a photographer I work in the documentary field predominately and have focused on issues of identity politics and migration in my work. I hold an Msc in African Studies from the University of Oxford (St Antonys) focusing on how media can be used as a tool for advocacy amongst active youth voices.
