Request QuoteI became interested in documentary photography when I traveled to Sarajevo at the age of 14 in an Exchange Student program. Since then, I have worked for uncountable publications around the world, always maintaining my own photographic agenda. I based myself in Bangkok in 2010 and started covering Southeast Asia for several international media such as The New York Times, The Guardian, or The Wall Street Journal among others. However, I wasn't limited to Asia. I also covered Africa and the Middle East including some chapters on the Arab Spring. My work has been recognized with several awards, including the World Press Photo and The National Human Rights Prize. In 2012 I started shifting my carrier toward filmmaking. I studied for a master's degree in film direction from ESCAC Academy, which operates in association with Barcelona's University. In recent years, I have been making short, medium, and long-form documentaries for HBO, TV3, and Aljazeera English, among others. I now live between London and Barcelona and work as a filmmaker.
