I'm Emily and I'm the owner/exec producer of GC.NYC, a.k.a. Geraghty Creative, a video and photo production company in New York City. I've been working as a director, producer, journalist, photographer, DP and editor for the past 11 years. Before starting my company, I was staff for Conde Nast, Bustle, and MTV. My team at GC.NYC works together 5 days a week in our Times Square office and 855 square foot studio. We make broadcast and streaming spots, branded content documentaries, product photo and video, UGC and so much more. We work with Sony cinema cameras, Aputure lighting and top-of-the-line gear. Webby winner 2018 - Akira Armstrong was in two Beyoncé videos, but couldn't find an agent to represent her as a professional dancer because of her size. To change the narrative around what a dancer's body should look like, Akira started her own dance company, made up of plus-size dancers. "Pretty Big Movement" is destroying dancer stereotypes, one routine at a time.
