TELESUR- Mexico: Sierra of Guerrero territory into oblivion and neglect

Entire communities in the mountains of Guerrero state in Mexico, have been displaced after being expelled by armed groups. The violence that exists in the region as well as corruption and total control of drug traffickers in the area have made people leave their homes, children do not attend school, and everything looks completely abandoned.

Mexico is the second deadliest country in the world for transgender people. Between 2015 and 2019, at least 441 LGBT + people were killed, more than half of them were transgender women. We follow trans rights activists who took it upon themselves to help trans sex workers fight the killings of trans people, increasing HIV and COVID-19.
