I am Pedro Correa a professional Videographer/Editor who for the past 22 years has worked for Telemundo Network Communications owned by NBC/COX, CBS, Reuters, AP, TIMA, NTN24, RCN, Caracol, Univision, Televisa, SBTNews, SOI and many others Nationals and Internationals Networks in Washington, DC. I have worked inTelevision News and Production for the past 35 years. I am a professional freelancer in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. In the field my experience includes setting up and shooting remote live shots, interviews, press conferences, stand up's and b-roll. Both for breaking news and features. These experiences have been local, national and International and include: Kuwait and later Iraq in the first phase of the war (2003). News coverage in Afghanistan and Pakistan of a Military Unit in search of Osama Bin Laden (2001/2002)., Spain (train attack and elections and Expo '92), New York/London correspondent war training and Haiti earthquake. Nationally I have covered primaries, Elections and the primaries political conventions. As part of my responsibilities at Telemundo and others Nationals Networks, I have had to set up and lightning for interviews with among others Vice President Al Gore, President George Bush, President Barack Obama, Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Ted Kennedy, Presidents of Honduras, Colombia, Venezuela, El Salvador, España, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic. Breaking news coverage has included the shootings at Virginia Tech, the explosion at Sago coal Mines in West Virginia and most recently I have covered Pope Benedict XVI visit to Washington DC and The Inauguration of President Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden. My recent great project was to Produce and Director a documentary called #17Dias where I narrate the events that occurred at the Venezuelan Embassy in Georgetown 2019, where for many days hundreds of Venezuelans gathered at the diplomatic headquarters to rescue the embassy that was kidnapped by invasive people. In many of these situations (news) I have had to not only shoot b-roll but also, edit and set up for the live shoots. I have a passion for news, documentaries, spots production, infomercials and production work.
