On Legislative Plaza, Occupy Nashville awaits the Tennessee Highway Patrol's enforcement of HB 2638/SB 2508 -- a bill recently signed by Governor Haslam making it a Class A misdemeanor to knowingly camp on state owned property that is not otherwise designated for camping. Although intended to target Occupy Nashville, the bill raises concerns as to its effect on Tennessee's homeless population.
