The Blind Muse
Lucy de Gómez and her husband Gerardo are blind street musicians that work in Guatemala city. With no help from their families and Guatemala's insufficient social aid for elders, they make a living playing on the streets for a few coins. Lucy plays the accordion and Gerardo always wanted to be a writer. The couple worked with a theatre group to write and present the play "The Blind Muse", based on their life together, written by Gerardo and scored by Lucy.
