Zan Gillies is an Emmy-winning film producer operating out of the Virginia / DC area with a variety of experience in both documentary and narrative film. He currently produces and shoots the series LIFE IN THE HEART LAND on VPM / PBS, and was the lead cinematographer and editor on the Washington Post series SECRET TABLE. His short narrative film LAST STRIKE, which he wrote and directed, was an Audience Award Winner at the Austin Film Festival in 2021. He has worked as a director of photography on three feature-length films and holds an MFA in Film and Media Arts from American University.
