Request QuoteI'm a freelance visual journalist and editor in the summer. In the fall I work full time as a Laboratory Teacher's Assistant to the student newspaper at Santa Barbara City College. Based out of Ventura, California. Graduated from Brooks Institute in December 2012. Traveled to Vietnam, New York City and the Black Rock Desert, Nevada for separate documentary projects. Worked a 4 month multimedia internship at NPR in Washington, D.C. in the spring of 2012. Graduated in 2002 from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois with a Bachelor's in Arts in Spanish.
A film I made with my friend Damon Jacoby while in school about a town in on the outskirts of the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. Empire, NV was owned by the gypsum company United States Gypsum. The company was forced to close the plant and the town was reduced to a ghost town. The film was picked up by the LA Times and published on their blog Framework.
An assignment I worked on at NPR with a reporter. We were tasked to go to the Supreme Court to find out from the demonstrators how they felt about the individual mandate law put forth by the Affordable Healthcare Act.
