Request QuoteMegan Hockin-Bennet is a Camera Operator, and Camera Assistant, specialising in natural history filmmaking. She is currently based on Vancouver Island, Canada. Born in Britain, Megan has worked across multiple disciplines in the film industry since 2014. She worked her way from Camera Trainee to Camera Operator on a variety of projects across television, short films, low budget movies, box office features, and a mix of online content. Megan has worked with National Geographic, CNN, Netflix, Disney and the BBC, on projects all around the globe; Africa, Iceland, Canada, Scotland and Wales. For the past thirteen summers Megan has spent her time with Orcalab recording unique audio and visual content of orca and humpback whales, for use in research and filmmaking outreach projects. Megan owns her own filmmaking equipment, including a Sony FS7, variety of Canon lenses, and a DJI Mavic drone. She is proficient in using most professional camera systems including ARRI, Black Magic, Sony, RED and Canon. Megan is also experienced in large scale data management and video editing, using both Premier Pro and Final Cut Pro. Her background in filmmaking and her passion for conservation have come together to focus on strong visual storytelling with conservation based messages.
