Ellie is a freelance photographer, videographer and writer with over 12 years of experience working extensively across Central Asia, MENA and East Africa. Previously based in Afghanistan for four years and in Beirut for two years, she has documented stories for humanitarian organisations, news outlets and worked on feature-length documentaries. Much of Ellie’s work has been focused on women’s issues, often in areas where the individuals are living under duress. Three sisters reunified with their family, Bor, South Sudan, UNICEF
Three sisters where separated from their parents in 2013 when soldiers stormed their village and burnt their homes. The three sisters had to live in the bush for eight days until it was safe to come out from hiding. This video documents the sisters struggle and how they finally where reunified with their family.

Video showcasing the maternity ward in the MSF hospital, Nduta Camp, Tanzania. Over 100,000 Burundi refugees live in Nduta camp. Nduta camp borders Burundi where civil war has caused hundreds of thousands to flee. Medicines Sans Frontiere established a hospital in this camp in 2015 to provide healthcare to these refugees.

Her identity remains anonymous due to the physical and mental assault that took place in her home in Burundi. After her husband and two sons were killed, she fled to Burundi. This video contains some sensitive and upsetting accounts of what has taken place in her life. Now living in Nduta camp, Tanzania MSF is working hard to help improve her physical and mental health.
