In the summer of 2015 he interned as a photographer and video reporter for Brooklyn Deep, a digital journalism platform that chronicles neighborhood change in Central Brooklyn. In December of 2015 he received his M.A. in Journalism from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, where he specialized in urban reporting and visual storytelling. His first film, Super Bronx Boys, debuted this December for an audience in Midtown, Manhattan. The short documentary film follows the lives of three indie game developers from the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. He currently resides in New York City.

Rosario’s shelter, New York City Top Dog, Inc. and New Beginnings Animal Rescue, has struggled with funding for months. Recently he’s had fewer and fewer of clients and Rosario has been surviving month-to-month on sometimes last-minute donations.
The shops and patrons of Bedford Avenue, one of Bedford-Stuyvesant’s most important North-South corridors, are reflecting rapid changes in racial makeup, average income and property values. Brooklyn Deep examines the juxtaposition between the historic character of this modest commercial corridor and the new wave of bars and restaurants that are helping to transform Bed-Stuy’s west end.

From the tree-covered stoops of their brownstones, residents of Dean Street, between Nostrand and New York Avenues, have seen a number of changing faces over the past decade. Boasting some of the neighborhood’s most active and influential residents, this block is now more diverse than ever as new residents integrate themselves into the tight-knit community that Dean Street is known for.
The neighborhood of Bushwick, located in Northern Brooklyn, is experiencing rapid changes in terms of racial makeup, average income and property value. Through the lens of portrait photography I set out to document this change, speaking with residents of old and new on how the gentrification of Bushwick is transforming their day-to-day lives.
