Request QuoteI am filmmaker, director, producer and DP based in Oaxaca, México, since 1997. Throughout those 25 years I’ve traveled several times around the whole state and made a lot of documentaries for TV and social media channels like History Channel, Nat Geo, Discovery Channel, Playground México, Al Jazeera+, Brut México, ZoominTV from Netherlands, Canal Infinito from Argentina, Channel 4 from London, among others. Also spend almost 4 years traveling all the state of Oaxaca making short documentary films for mexican federal dependence Secretaría de Salud about health issues in indigenous communities, and made a series of three TV programs for Secretaría de Cultura about music roots in Oaxaca communities. I have my own truck to move around and I am also a drone operator if we need some aerial shots.

The Obatalas are a group of young mexican black girls in a poor afro-mexican community in southern Mexico, who dance to feel closer to Mother Africa. Too far and too poor to travel, the only way they found to learn how to dance is Youtube. They see videos whit african people dancing and copy the steps. Far from the first world, Internet let the girls be one step closer to Africa.
