I am confident that my success in a wide spectrum of feature film and web video projects, in addition to my passion for reporting, makes me uniquely qualified to contribute for Storyhunter. Through years of experience working on feature films in Los Angeles as an editor, gaffer, and field recordist, I have developed the technical expertise necessary to enhance and distinguish my reportage. My experience ranges from editing a documentary about revolutionary journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal, to conducting interviews with government officials, to producing an on-site documentary for a multinational corporation. Most recently, I produced, shot and edited a documentary about the oil boom in Williston, North Dakota. This project showcases my technique as both a reporter and visual storyteller, as I was responsible for developing government sources, winning the trust of oil workers at the labor camp I was staying in, and then designing a visual narrative that honored the integrity of this community while also shining a light on the challenges they faced.
