There is a small, female revolution at the city ferry line in Istanbul: Dilara Çapa is a captain candidate here - one of the first women. She is only 20 years old, has already completed nautical training and worked on merchant ships for a while. Züleyhá Gülüm is fighting against such prejudices using political means. Gülüm is a member of parliament for the pro-Kurdish HDP for Istanbul. It is high time that women now penetrate the last male professions, she says.

A doctor who returned from Turkey brought the virus with him. People are desperate. Many have hardly anything to eat, the hygienic conditions are catastrophic and medical care is rare. Meanwhile, on the other side of the border, in Turkey, many Syrians are waiting for exactly this kind of help.
