I produced multiple short videos and a photo essay for The Weather Channel after the devastating mudslide in Oso, Washington killed 43 people in 2014. This piece tells of the survival of Robin Youngblood, who thought she faced certain death.

Inmates and dogs for The Wall Street Journal
I filmed this piece and conducted the interviews for a Wall Street Journal feature about a dog training program at a women’s prison. The inmates learn skills as they operate a full kennel open to the public for dog boarding. The inmates also learn how to train the dogs.

A cup of coffee, a life saved: Barista’s Army vet husband to give customer kidney (Shot for Starbucks)
This was a project commissioned by Starbucks. I served as a production assistant for the video portion of this story and also spent several days creating a photo essay. This is a unique story of how a man befriended his barista, who he told of his chronic kidney condition. Not long afterward, the barista’s husband had volunteered to donate his kidney to the customer.
