On Monday 16th January 2018 I recorded some portfolio material for a client. This involved me recording her ‘laughter therapy’ session for use in a showreel for her website, providing a variety of different camera shots and utilising a number of varying angles to show off her professional skill as a laughter therapist. The client was pleased with the work displayed.
On Friday 29th March 2019 I completed some paid photography work for a local Scarborough filmmaker's professional website. This involved taking photographs of himself and his family, utilising different shot sizes and camera angles to offer a wide selection of images and ingesting the photos onto a computer hard drive ready to send in an email.
In July 2017, I undertook some volunteer work as a runner on the indie film ‘Scarborough’, directed by Barnaby Southcombe and based on the Royal Court Theatre film of the same name. As a runner my duties included preparing teas and coffees, ensuring no members of the public interrupt the shoot during filming and keeping an eye on bags and equipment whilst the crew film elsewhere.
On the weekend of 2nd-3rd March 2019 I undertook some volunteer work as a camera assistant on a music video for a local Scarborough band, Alexa De Strange. Duties included helping unload, set up and de-rig camera equipment, assisting with lighting and shooting three shots with the professional camera equipment under the supervision of the cameraman assigned to the shoot.
