Grace helped us translate several sound bites from Korean to English and was super fast despite the timezone difference. She made sure we had what we needed on deadline and was very communicative. I would highly recommend Grace!

Request QuoteHello! I'm a Korean-Texan based in Seoul and a bilingual (Korean/English), freelance writer, fixer and translator. My work (print and video) has appeared in places like the the BBC, PRI, Dallas Morning News, Food52, CBS News, Newsday/amNewYork, Greatist and more. (I'm a generalist and have written about a multitude of topics, but especially love stories about food, diaspora, North Korea and identity.) If you need to speak to local sources or need live footage in Korea, I'll be able to hunt whatever you need down fast. I'm also available for remote reporting or translation tasks too.

Reported and translated (KOR/ENG) both the written portion of this essay as well as the recipe included at the end of the piece. Conducted multiple rounds in Korean for phone interviews, delving into historical events and war trauma.
I spent three months interviewing and reporting on local Vietnamese communities in the suburbs of Dallas, TX. Aside from the written portion, I also contributed to the photo narrative essay and live video footage from community events.
I pitched, reported and conducted multiple interviews in both Korean and English for this Dallas Morning News feature story that was published online and in print.
