I'm a broadcast journalist based in London, United Kingdom. I have more than 30 years of experience in tv, radio and online journalism. I worked 25 years for BBC Persian and BBC news as reporter and analyst covering Iran, the middle East, Afghanistan and Central Asia. I was the director of BBC Persian Service for seven years. Since leaving BBC in 2016 I went freelance and presented programmes for Radio Farda ( Radio Free Europe) and Iran International TV based in London. I presented several documentaries for BBC World Service, BBC 4 and BBC Persian. I'm fluent in Persian and English.
