Request QuoteRoger Anis is an Egyptian Documentary photographer, Photo editor & Curator. He received his bachelor in fine arts in 2008 from Egypt and started his career as a photojournalist in 2010, working with different newspapers and international news agencies. His work got published in various international newspapers and news agencies like AP, AFP, Getty Images, New York Times, TIME, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Le Monde, De Grona Amsterdam, The Guardian and many others next to my work with International Organizations like UNICEF, UNDP. UNFPA, UNWoman, IFAD, IMF. His work got exhibited in Egypt and internationally in the Institue Du Monde Arabe in Paris, The Hermitage Museum in Russia, the MUCEM museum in Marseille, Heads on Photo Festival in Australia, Bamako Biennale in Mali and many other venues worldwide in Turkey, USA, Singapore, India, The Netherlands. In 2015 he received a degree in photojournalism from the Danish School of Media & Journalism in Denmark. Roger’s work and photo stories focus on trying to shed light on important subjects and social issues in our communities. He works on hidden or underreported levels and on essential topics we don’t see or forget about. Currently, Roger is doing his master’s at the Royal Academy of Arts in the Netherlands, focusing on water and rivers. Next to be the Artistic Director and Co-founder of EverydayNile Initiative, which empowers visual storytellers from the Nile basin countries to tell visual stories about the Nile and water in their countries. In his practice, he tries to experiment and expand to include different visual mediums that he can combine with his photography next to filmmaking.
