Ms Campagna earned her degree in Journalism and minor in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago. Her area of coverage includes: education, global warming, racism, immigration, and state violence. She has a b1 level fluency of the French language and limited working proficiency of Tagalag. Her work has appeared on WYCC PBS, Hyphen Magazine, Xojane, Getty Images, and Free Speech Radio News. She has co-produced a number of award winning documentaries. Currently in pre-production is her latest, a film docu series, Ang Aming Palay, about the rice farming crisis in The Philippines.
Suffrage At 16 was a nonpartisan social multimedia campaign targeted at teens to encourage their push to lower the voting age. It includes a short video on why 16 and 17 year olds should be able to vote in Illinois. This was a special collaboration effort between CTVN youth producers and Vote16 Illinois. This is the story of hate crime survivor Pat Mayer and a rare glimpse into a 1991 ACT Up Chicago meeting, at the height of the AIDs crisis. I featured for In These Times Magazine previously unreleased footage from the PBS documentary End of the Night Stick. This footage is about the beating Chicago Police Officers Cosgrove and Manning committed against a gay man.
The Shortest End of the Stick is an upcoming 60 minute documentary that examines the reasons behind the ever-growing gender wealth gap and how the housing crisis has affected the wealth of single women, particularly women of color. As an Associate Producer, I assisted with online marketing and fundraiser strategies. Filmed and interviewed on-location in Chicago.
Ang Aming Palay follows several indigenous farmers' ability to produce The Philippines staple food with a new government assistance program, one year later. This project is in the beginning stages of post production. Our team includes Fe Zamora, who won an Oscar for her line production work with the History Channel.
