I am an Egyptian journalist currently living in Cairo. I worked at Egypt's only daily independent newspaper, Daily News Egypt, then for the online news platform Egyptian Streets. I have an MA in Global Communication from Simon Fraser University. I am currently an independent reporter, published in Foreign Affairs, Al-Monitor, The National, Ms. Magazine, and other local and international platforms.
