VOA News - Flight Attendant Helps Refugees by Selling Their Art
I pitched this story & webvid to VOA after talking to Kayra on the phone. At the art show, I did interviews on a Sony PXW-X70 on a tripod with attendees & Kayra, shot b-roll & stills with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III on a monopod. I worked with the editor on my drafts of the OCN and the webvid script. Following approval, I produced the webvid both with text and without text for translation.

VOA News - For Sanctuary Congregations, Helping Undocumented Immigrants is Moral Imperative
The immigration editor at VOA asked me to cover this event on sanctuary churches. I shot interviews and b-roll from this protest. For balance, the next day I did an interview at FAIR that was shot by a videographer at VOA, and used a SOT from another reporters's trip to talk to citizens about immigration. I wrote the TV script, voiced the package and the video was produced by VOA.

VOA News – Cartoonists' Paradise
The assignments editor asked me to do a story on cartoonists and the election with reporters Bill Gallo. I shot the interviews with both cartoonists with a Sony PXW-X70 on a tripod and shot b-roll with an EOS 5D Mark III. Bill & I compiled the cartoons from the cartoonists & international ones from VOA language services. I designed the Shorthand layout and edited 4 videos and a TV package.
