Alfredo Martínez (Mexico City, 1972) began his professional career in Mexico City, where from a young age he studied photography, cinematography and archeology. He has developed professionally in different media such as magazines, news agencies, television channels, cultural and documentary projects, likewise, he has traveled the world in archaeological, nature and sports expeditions that include mountaineering, caving, skydiving, diving, adventure racing and navigation. Throughout his career he has worked for México Desconocido, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Red Bull, Grupo Expansión, Televisa editorial, Reforma newspaper, Reuters Agency, Canon Mexicana, Na Bolom Cultural Association, Getty Images, among others. He currently lives in the city of La Paz, Baja California Sur, where he is conducting research work on maritime and underwater archeology, as well as various photographic projects on the region of the Baja California peninsula and the Sea of Cortez.
