African cinema will hit a new date with its fans in Spain at the end of this month, as part of the activities of the 18th edition of the African Film Festival in Spain. He was born in the Mauritanian city of Atar in 1957, and showed his passion for literature at an early age. At the age of thirteen, his teacher father gave him the novel "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo. It is the Mauritanian writer and novelist, Embarek Berouk. Berrock wrote his first book in 1995 and then waited ten years before submitting it to the publishing house. He identifies himself as a writer in the French language, not as a francophone. His mastery of Molière's language prompted him to choose to write, but also out of his love for this language that allowed him to showcase his great poetic and literary talent. Peruc's writings are overshadowed by his connection to the desert, which means his adherence to the traditions in which he was brought up in the midst of it. This is evident in his novel "The Drums of War" published in 2015, which won the "Karuma Award" 2016.
