With this in mind there have been videos coming out of hip hop music that have stretched the norm artistic expression with some labeling the videos outrageous some unbecoming. US President Obama is visiting Kenya for the for the first time since he clinched the seat in 2008 an Kenya being the home of his father the connection cannot be understated. The feature will look at how Kenyans are preparing to welcome their son home being the first time a sitting US president is visiting the country. Everyone is looking to catch a glimpse of this man whose has achieved a lot.
Table banking is an informal way of banking in Kenya. It helps mostly women and Chamas the Swahili word for groupings of people with a common interest to manage their finances. An app Chamasoft has been developed for this not so common method of pooling resources together and in the process transformed how Chamas manage their financial records. The app won best innovation from Africa 2014.
This feature is about a popular delicacy called Chapati and beans (dondo) popular with college students and a feast in many Kenyan homes. Chapati is made from wheat dough, salt. The chapati is rolled and heated in a very hot pan both sides till it turns brown. In essence its about cutting eating healthy in light of the not so healthy diets provided in restaurants plus it is very economical.
