Chris Manley studied anthropology and theater in college. He views anthropology as the study of the human condition from the outside and theater as that study from within. After college Chris became enamored with the way a camera could tell a story and highlight specific aspects of life. He has always enjoyed a lighter take on life. He leans toward finding the comedy in existence. He started out his visual storytelling career as a writer and performer. He then began learning how to shoot and edit and started his own production company, Bankrukt Productions, specializing in comedic storytelling. Bankrukt recently completed a feature-length film that combines documentary and narrative storytelling. Chris is excited about projects that highlight similarities across cultures.

This is one of 6 featurettes I was commissioned to edit in anticipation of the release of the film, "A Most Violent Year". This featurette focused on the job of the costume designer. The film is set in 1981 NYC and so it called for period costumes. The featurette highlights many of the different styles and motifs she was working with in the film.
