Bud Adams is a New Orleans treasure. He is 93 years old, a WWII veteran, and October 16, 2016 he celebrated 70 years of being a barber, almost entirely on Oak Street. He was one of the first people I featured on my portrait project, NOLAbeings, so I spent a day interviewing and filming him in his barbershop, hearing stories about his life and wisdom he has gleaned along the way.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with King James and the Special Men on a music video for their new track 'Special Man Boogie.' We filmed the whole video in one day and one night and it was a blast finding characters on the streets of New Orleans to join in the fun.
