Vanessa Hudson is an award-winning New York based filmmaker specializing in documentary storytelling. She made her directorial debut in 2018 with the short documentary Foul Play: Dutee, created for the Olympic Channel, that premiered at film festivals across the globe. Since, Vanessa has created multiple documentary series for the Olympic Channel as a Director and Executive Producer. Vanessa also spearheads creative production for VICE media’s branded content studio - telling stories for brands such as Japan National Tourism Organization, New Balance, Ford, Hewlett Packard and Laurel Road. She was a development producer on the VICE News series Hunters - and a segment producer across episodes. Overwhelmingly expressed in her pieces, Vanessa's passion for filmmaking is fueled by the empowering characters she meets and hopes that her work will illuminate unique perspectives.
