Hathras rape and forceful cremation case
On 14 September 2020, a 19-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly gang-raped in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, India, by four upper caste men. She died two weeks later in a Delhi hospital. I uncovered how the state police and administration violated the human rights of the victim and her family by forcefully cremating the body at midnight, against the family's will. I recorded the crime done by the police and questioned them for it. After my story, the court took cognisance and filed a case against the police personnel and administration.

Investigation into sexual assault cases of tribals in Chhattisgarh by security forces
In Jan 2017, the NHRC found out that at least 16 women were raped, and assaulted sexually and physically by security forces in Chhattisgarh. The National Human Rights Commission served a notice to the state government , holding it "vicariously liable" for the incidents reported in 2015 and 2016. But no arrests were made. I travelled to the Naxal liberated zone of Chhattisgarh to bring the testimonies of these women to the fore and investigate into the culpability of security forces.

Investigation into 12 hate crime cases of India to study the bias in the justice system
This is a month long investigation into the hate crime cases which made national headlines. We went back to track the legal status of these cases through multiple chargesheets running into thousands of pages , testimonies of families, lawyers etc to trace if there's a bias in the justice system towards the Hindu perpetrators, due to the changing political scenario in the country. We examined the 12 cases and without giving any opinion, only put out the facts in the table showing a pattern of bail by lower and higher courts for Hindu perpetrators even after conviction in heinous crimes and no bail policy in cases of Muslim perpetrators, even before conviction. This showed a larger picture of justice system in a country where minorities feel they are under attack by the ruling government.
