He delved into reportage in Lisbon, where he lived and worked until 2019, producing his first short documentary titled "Un Giorno Felice," selected at the "Ce L’ho Corto Film Festival" and "Florence Queer Festival." In 2020, he attended the Jack London School of Literature and Photography. He collaborated with VoA and AlJazeera as assistant editor, and with Il Fatto Quotidiano as director in the production of "Fora Bolsonaro," a documentary about the presidential elections in Brazil in October 2022. Currently, he works as a freelance videomaker and photographer.
Urbano Ciacci is the last survivor of the mine's explosion at Bois du Cazier, Marcinelle, happened on the 8th of August in 1956. In this tragedy, 262 people lost their life, 136 of whom were Italians. Urbano tells his story and remembers that day, while he guides us through the mine that nowadays became a museum.
