Aristide Economopoulos is a freelance photographer in the NYC metro area with over two decades at The Star-Ledger/NJ Advance Media, specializing in documentary essays. An eight-time New York Press Photographers Association Photographer of the Year, he has received numerous honors, including World Press Photo, Sony World Photo Awards, Siena International Photo Awards, and a Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News in 2005. His 9/11 coverage won Pictures of the Year International and is permanently displayed at the National September 11 Memorial Museum. His work has been widely exhibited and archived in the Library of Congress. In addition to working for the NY Times, Washington Post, NY Post, Bloomberg, and others, he collaborates with corporate communications, including clients like Starbucks, WWE, US Dept. of Labor, Earthjustice, and others. A Rochester Institute of Technology graduate, he has lectured at institutions, including the Smithsonian Institution. He resides in Jersey City, NJ.
