Alejandro Reyes, better known as Alex Luke, is an independent filmmaker from Mexico City currently based in Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca. Graduated with a degree in Advertising, he has developed his career in audiovisual production, making commercials for different brands, corporate videos and digital content, he has worked in films and TV series, he has extensive experience in the government sector and political campaigns, he has filmed more than 17 documentaries in Mexico, Europe and Latin America. Culture, art, nature, archaeology, history and ethnography. Topics ranging from sharks to rock bands. His previous documentaries “Dance of the Feather” and “Whaleshark: The Legacy” have been recognized with numerous awards at more than 15 different international film festivals. His latest documentary “Oaxaca and its Ethnicities: Pride of Our Origin” is currently competing in international festivals and so far, has already received three awards. He is currently working on two documentaries.
