In The year 2002 he began his career as a News Producer and Writer in the second largest TV station in Venezuela, Televen, covering the political and social situation that afflicted the country during the early years of President Hugo Chavez, including coups, general national strike, protests and elections. After five years of News related work, he left to pursue independent production and dramatic writing for Sitcoms, Soap Operas, Institutional videos and documentaries. He directed and produced video stories for Press TV, Mail Online, Bav Films, Snaps TV, Fox and Nat Geo Latam, NBC News, Ingenio TV, Triana Productions, Mediax and Possible Group. Carlos is also a regular journalist, photographer and videographer for Vice Versa Magazine (New York) and Sala de Espera Magazine (Venezuela).
In Bav Films I worked as director, producer and videographer for the realization of several news stories and documentaries made in Mexico for international media. The students who disappeared in Ayotzinapa, Peyote Tourism, Life in Ciudad Juarez after cartel wars and the displaced people at the border in Tijuana.
