Graphic design company Little Fury wanted me to capture a special event they did in honor of their pop up idea, Divine Details, a wonderful store/art gallery with curated products chosen for their functionality and beauty.
This was a passion project focusing on Sugar Hill Creamery, a family-owned ice cream parlor in Harlem, NYC. What makes them stand out is their innovative range of flavors developed and produced right in the shop, and the overall goal of continuing the rich history of community in Harlem.
I wanted to film a mini-documentary on one of my favorite food stands in NYC just for the heck of it. Zai Lai is a Taiwanese food stall, created by Edward Huang, an immigration lawyer who just couldn't get food out of his head.
During my time at ABC News, I shot, edited, and produced this segment on an interesting art concept: a dumpster filled with mementos and memorabilia collected throughout artist Mac Preemo's lifetime. Through his work, he challenges viewers to think about the meaning of "junk," and the intrinsic value things have because of the stories attached to them. Should you throw it away, or keep it?
This local NYC choir specializing in classical music wanted me to encapsulate their history in a digital video.
I was commissioned to edit a piece on a new local Poke cafe out of a variety of footage, interviews, music, and stills. I also added basic text graphics and music.
