Request QuoteLaura Salaberry is a visual storyteller with 10 years of experience in design for video, motion graphics and print. She is currently a video editor and motion graphic designer at The Box, a partnership between Hogarth Worldwide and Dow Jones. Previously she worked as an Associate Art Director at Saúde Magazine, and Senior Graphic Designer at Folha de São Paulo, Brazil’s largest newspaper. She directed the documentary "The King of Coxinha," about a Brazilian chef in New York, and she is the author of the book Cozinha Pop, about food scenes from movies and TV series. As a freelancer, she worked with clients such as Bon Appétit, BET, Girls Scouts, The New School, and several Brazilian publications. She holds a masters degree in Media Studies and a graduate certificate in documentary, both from The New School (NYC). She also holds a graduate certificate in History of Gastronomy from Senac, and a bachelor's degree in Communication, from UFRGS, both from Brazil. Her work as a multimedia designer has been featured in The New York Times, Food 52, Feet in Two Worlds and Brazilian media such as UOL and Computer Arts. Throughout her career, she won several awards, including four recognitions from Society of News Design (SND).

For more than 80 years, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty were the first sight of America for immigrants from all over the world. What emotions do those places trigger nowadays? Is it possible for us to truly understand how immigrants felt back then? This film juxtaposes the story of an Italian immigrant arriving at Ellis Island in 1917 and my visit to the place in 2015.
Kollabora is a social media for crafters. They invited me to create a video three crafters and their mom's roles on the development of their skills. I codirected, shot and edited this video.
"Na Dúvida" is a web series from the Brazilian magazine "Nova Escola". I was invited to create the opening titles for it. I did the illustrations and frame by frame animation.
