Request QuoteMobolaji is a storyteller/educator with Jamaican Christian and Nigerian Muslim parents. Growing up mediating multiple cultural identities has inspired him to use cinema as a tool to illuminate the superficial conditions that divide us and accentuate the merits of shedding our prejudices. He attended both University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated with honors, and the American Film Institute (AFI), where he won the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Student Filmmaker Award. His feature documentary, "Ferguson Rises," won an Audience Award at the TriBeca Film Festival and represented Independent Lens/PBS at the Television Critics Association. Noted film critic Kenneth Turan called "Ferguson Rises," "Excellent and Impressive." Mobolaji is a Gotham/HBO Fellow and repped at UTA where he is developing both narrative and documentary projects, as well as Helm Content where he is directing commercials.

This is the trailer for my feature documentary that won an audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival along with other prominent festivals and screened nationwide on PBS/Independent Lens. This film was produced by Academy/Emmy Award-Winner TJ Martin, acclaimed Rapper RZA, Singer Aloe Blacc, Actor David Oyelowo, Emmy nominee Kai Bowe and Gigi Pritzker. Noted film critic, Kenneth Turan called the film: "Excellent and impressive."
This video was part of a larger campaign and series of videos I directed encouraging people to choose to foster at risk youth. The series played on PBS in the southern california area.
A second video I directed and produced for a TV campaign on PBS encouraging fostering youth.
One of 19 videos I produced and directed for the LA Metro featuring artists that designed the various stations along the K line in Los Angeles.
This video earned my client, the LA Metro, numerous awards and changed the way they produced videos from being information heavy to being story-based and visual. It was made to get people ready for the construction of the train in their area and elicit warm feelings about what was to come to counter the traffic and construction noise they were about to experience and was highly effective.
