About

I am a documentary filmmaker and photojournalist committed to producing visual stories that have an impact on society and raise awareness about human and environmental issues. My background is strongly focused on human rights and gender issues and I have worked for almost a decade as a photojournalist producing photo reportages about cultural identity, workers' rights, disability, immigration and environmental issues. I gradually shifted my interest from still to moving images and discovered a great passion for documentaries. I now regularly collaborate with BBC Scotland making short documentaries for their platform The Social reaching over 1.3M views on social media with my popular series about the Vanlife community in Scotland. Also, I was the 2019 winner of the prestigious Bridging the Gap programme by the Scottish Documentary Institute in collaboration with Screen Scotland and I am now working on a short documentary for international distribution. I am confident researching story ideas, shooting still and moving images, editing with the Adobe Creative Suite and I have an understanding of basic audio recording and editing techniques. I fluently speak English and Spanish (full professional proficiency), Italian (native) and German (intermediate). I am originally from the north-east of Italy and I am based in south-west of Scotland. I have a full clean UK driving license with own vehicle.
