She is best known for her Emmy award-winning documentaries, SIX DEGREES OF IMMIGRATION (NYT OPDocs. 2019), and BIRTHRIGHT (PBS. 2023). Gershen’s latest short, MANGO MOVIE, a film commissioned by the City of Miami Beach and Aspen Ideas Climate, will premiere at the 2024 New Orleans Film Festival. Her personal work has been supported by the NEH, ITVS, Oolite Arts, and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
