Request QuoteKatherine Filaseta is an emerging filmmaker originally from South Carolina. While at Washington University in St. Louis, Katherine acted in a few student films and researched tropes of globalization in Bollywood. After graduating with a degree in International Studies, Katherine limited her involvement in film to reviewing films on her feminist blog ("Complaining About Things I Like") and podcast ("Filmi Talks"), while studying Hindi in India and teaching children performing arts. Realizing that teaching was not her true passion, she decided to enroll in a short filmmaking course at the New York Film Academy. Katherine hopes to add to her current portfolio by showcasing her ability to use the overlap of fiction, music, and visuals to tell stories with a true purpose.
