At Café Lota, Head Chef Udit Maheshwari is on a mission to introduce diners to regional Indian cuisine they may have never sampled before. The outdoor café at the National Crafts Museum in New Delhi specializes in lesser-known dishes, like chingri kamranga khatta (prawn curry with star fruit), a guava vegetable dish, and a curry with roasted papadum. With the café, Chef Maheshwari hopes to showcase the depth, variety and complexity of overlooked Indian dishes.

On a farm in Eus, France, where the sun shines 320 days out of the year, Etienne and Perrine Schaller grow lemon caviar. This special fruit, native to Australia, is known in the English-speaking world as finger lime. Lemon caviar is full of beads of deliciousness that look just like caviar. And, like caviar, it’s pricey. The Schallers sell theirs to top chefs like Daniel Lutrand, who invites us to Le Pastis Restaurant in Montpellier, France, to sample one of his elegant dishes.

The same company then hires people from different linguistic back grounds to translate 'what if English' video scripts to their languages(here, it's Hindi) and then gets it re-produced in different languages. I translated the script from English to Hindi.

Ismail Matar is a Palestinian refugee and an artist — and the streets of Gaza City are his canvas.

Born and raised in the Khan Younis refugee camp, Ismail has lived his entire life in a war zone — but he strives to bring hope and joy to his community through his artwork.

In May 2021, the Israeli military carried out 11 days of airstrikes in Gaza, killing at least 260 Palestinians, 66 of whom were children. The attacks also destroyed countless homes and buildings, and much of Ismail’s street art became rubble.

For Ismail, rebuilding Gaza City, his home, means painting new images of hope and humanity in Palestine. Today, he helps children use art to channel their feelings and process their grief and trauma so that they can build a brighter future for themselves.

“We have dreams and ambitions,” he said. “We want to live with dignity.”

In Xochimilco, Mexico, Manuel Rodriguez is on a mission to save the country’s native and endangered axolotl, a small amphibious animal that can regenerate its body parts. He credits the axolotl for helping him find a path away from drugs.

Working with VSA Partners in Chicago, Intersect profiled Gene Kranz, former NASA flight control director for Apollo 13. We shot in Houston and worked closely with NASA to get access to locations and archival footage.

The CNN Heroes series profiled Minneapolis’ Vednita Carter, who has helped more than 6,000 victims of sex trafficking. Once a former sex worker herself, Vednita has built an army of survivors who have joined her crusade to end sex trafficking. Taking an empathetic approach to a difficult subject, we worked to make the women comfortable on camera while also protecting their identities.

We were commissioned by Procter & Gamble to show how Always sanitary pads are changing the lives of young girls in Kenya. With access to affordable feminine health products, girls are able to stay in school longer. We mobilized a crew in Nairobi in less than 24 hours. Working in both English and Swahili, we produced and directed both video and stills.
