Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States and the International School of Film and Television in Cuba, I have worked in the film and television industry as a producer, cinematographer, director, and editor. My pursuit to tell compelling, impactful stories that connect with viewers has taken me throughout Latin America, Europe, the Caribbean and across the United States. Whether my project is of international significance or local concern, I often work as a one-woman-band, allowing me the privilege to glimpse into people's lives in an intimate way. My subjects have ranged from political turmoil in Venezuela to ghost-train riders in Argentina, coca farmers in Bolivia, to everyday people in the United States. My work has appeared on PBS, HBO, NHK, TVE, The Washington Post online, and Voice of America among other networks. Awards and grants include The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, The Jerome Foundation, New York State Council on the Arts, Chicken and the Egg, Tides Foundation and the Chesapeake AP Awards.

Joshua Corbett (b. 1981) is a freelance photographer and cinematographer based in Anchorage, Alaska. His current work focuses on the concepts of family, culture, and community in the context of the shifting geopolitical and environmental landscapes of the Arctic. Joshua was born in Alaska to a pair of surf-hippy transplants (pictured below) from Southern California. He has an MA in International Relations and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and has lived and worked in the Philippines, Mexico, Italy, United Kingdom, and Afghanistan. He is currently based in Alaska and available for assignments nationally.

Sarah Betcher has a masters degree in Cross-Cultural Studies from the University of Alaska Fairbanks focused ethnographic filmmaking. Her debut film, Tradition in Tune, takes viewers into the cultural world of the Athabascan fiddling tradition. Sarah is now owner of Farthest North Films and specializes in creating media that communicates across cultures. She has produced film material for the Smithsonian Institution’s Arctic Studies Center, departments at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and several Alaska Native and non-Native organizations. Sarah’s film projects have been funded by National agencies such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Science Foundation and the United State Department of Agriculture; as well as several other Native and non-Native agencies. Recently, Sarah became an award-winning recipient of a Greenpeace documentary film competition with her work titled "Sea Ice Secure", exploring sea ice use in a changing Arctic landscape.

Stacy’s loved the craft of storytelling since childhood. Her family recalls a time she walked through a restaurant returning to the table with detailed backstories of the customers she’d met along the way. Growing up in Alaska spoke to Stacy’s insatiable sense of adventure. Much like production, Alaska offers wild variables quickly turning action-packed plans into “misadventures”. Finding ways to pivot came naturally and Stacy discovered getting into a fix was almost as fun as getting out of a fix. As a bonus, it produced both a good story and oftentimes a new friend. Stacy became involved with the first studio feature film shooting in Alaska under the newly developed tax incentive. Over a decade later, Stacy’s work in the industry has been far reaching. She’s well versed in film tax incentives and with grant funding, created a training program to expand Alaska’s crew base. Stacy has created content for unscripted television working on alls sides of TV, Commercial and Feature Film projects in Alaska and Internationally. Stacy’s work has earned her membership in the Producer’s Guild of America. Multiple projects produced with African Fixer led to a long term collaboration serving clients around the globe. She founded Kane House Films, a film service company supplying clients oftentimes with story ideas, cast, crew, payroll and easy collaboration with Alaska's resourceful people. Stacy believes the heart of every great project is a good story while solid connections are the bloodline. The heartbeat, however, is the collaborative effort of working through the production process. As a bonus, Stacy’s career path has made for good stories, good friends and loyal clients.

My passion in life is visual storytelling and I strive to craft a life that is a story worth telling. Growing up in rural Alaska I developed a love for adventure and exploration into the wilds around me. The often overwhelming beauty and intensity I encountered led me to photography as a means of sharing my experience. I enjoy finding creative angles that reveal my subjects' connection with the natural environment in an authentic and artistic style. Aerial and aviation, outdoor lifestyle and surf photography are my specialties. I offer still and motion picture production for advertising, commercial, and editorial projects. As a licensed USCG captain for Ocean Swell Ventures and proprietor of Surf Alaska, boat based surf adventures are one of my primary production platforms. I am also a camera operator for ZatzWorks offering stabilized aerial video using the Cineflex system. I live in Homer, Alaska with my wife Stephanie and our little boy Riley.
