Shaandiin Tome is a filmmaker from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Trained as an editor and cinematographer, she is a 2016 Sundance Full Circle Fellowship alumna, 2016 Sundance Programming Intern, and in May 2017, she was selected for the Sundance Native Filmmaker’s Lab Fellowship with her short film project Mud (Hashtl’ishnii). After making Mud (Hashtl’ishnii) it was selected to premiere in Competition at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and is currently traveling the world on the film festival circuit. A recent graduate of the University of New Mexico with a BFA in Film and Digital Media Production, she graduated cum laude and through her filmmaking passion hopes to continue her career creating art. She currently lives in Albuquerque, aiming to bring resonating imagery in convergence with story, illustrating her perspective as a Diné woman.

Lisa Gross is a documentary filmmaker and freelance editor originally from Santa Fe, NM and currently based in Denver, CO. She has worked as an associate story producer, researcher, writer, and editor of shows airing on Destination America, The Cooking Channel, The Travel Channel, PBS, A&E, The Discovery Channel, Discovery Fit & Health, Investigation Discovery, TLC, DIY Network, and MTV, as well as projects for The International Rescue Committee, Lovett Productions, Cabin Creek Films, TED Talks, and The Michael J. Fox Foundation. She has also shot short promotional pieces for private clients and has produced and edited pieces for local PBS. She is currently in production of a feature-length observational documentary about a New York public access TV host whose longstanding show explores the nature of consciousness and other dimensions.

I am a professional visual journalist, have been for more than 20 years. I began my career as a staff photographer at newspapers in the American West, at a time when papers still had darkrooms and photographers still processed their own film. In 1998, my wife, author Karen Coates, and I moved to Cambodia. There, I shot news, features and investigative stories for Agence France-Presse, The New York Times, The Cambodia Daily and dozens of magazines. We have since combined our talents on numerous projects examining under-reported stories across Asia and beyond, with particular focus on environment, health and social issues. For the past eight years, we have documented the widespread effects of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Laos. Our book, Eternal Harvest: The Legacy of American Bombs in Laos, was published by ThingsAsian Press in 2013. Recently I added HD video work to my high-quality still image repertoire. I am a Senior Fellow at the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University and was a 2012-2013 Scripps Fellow in Environmental Journalism at the Center for Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

With 15 years of experience in professional film and video work, I've dedicated my career to understanding narrative fiction as truth, non-fiction film as cinematic fact, and journalism as a blend of the two. The tools of making this content change all the time and I look at keeping up with these progressions as a pre-requisite while keeping the story at the center. Dylan McLaughlin (b. 1989) is a video artist employing the medium as a conduit for discourse and discovery in relational processes, through portraits, performance, and installation. Driven by inquiries in environment, perception, movement, community, and mythology, he explores embodied storytelling practices. Investigating improvisation, land-based making, and ecology through collaborative work with landscapes, dancers, and musicians. McLaughlin invites video as a platform to transcend mediums. He holds a BFA in New Media Arts: Moving Images from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Evan is a photojournalist based in the Twin Cities focused on issue-driven storytelling and breaking news coverage. He worked at Minnesota Public Radio as a photojournalist from 2016-2021, covering some of the country's biggest stories all over the midwest in photos, videos, and on the radio. His priorities are building trust, relationships and securing intimate access to important and often overlooked stories. He is available for still, video, and audio journalism, as well as field production and assisting, and has experience with a variety of camera, lighting, and audio systems.
