My passion for storytelling has taken me all over the world - from the top of Mt St Helens to the epicenter of a nuclear disaster in Japan. I have more than a decade of experience reporting, both domestically and internationally. Most recently, I worked as a Tokyo-based correspondent for ABC News, covering everything from the tsunami and Fukushima nuclear disaster, to the conflict on the Korean peninsula. Prior to my time in Asia, I spent 5 years in Seattle, as a general assignment reporter. I am a multimedia journalist who has been reporting at the intersection of food, culture, and economics for seven years. New York has proven to be such a rich vein for this kind of storytelling that I've built my freelance career with profiles, features, and long-form stories on food, cooks, producers, consumers, immigrants, urban history, and the ever-changing communities of the city. Tim Wu is a freelance producer, DP and camera operator based in New York City. An associate member of the SOC (Society of Camera Operators) and a member of the IATSE Local 600 Camera Union, Tim has been fortunate enough to make a living pushing the little red button on cameras. Shahryar Shahamat is an Iranian-born artist, videojornalist and editor residing in Brooklyn , New York since 2010. At the age of 18, he entered the professional world as an assistant director working alongside well-known filmmakers and theatre directors in Iran. He worked as a video journalist at the Voice of America’s Persian service from 2011 to 2014 and is currently working as a freelancer videojornalist. Painting has been an undecidable part of Shahryar’s life. I am a cinematographer and editor who recently relocated from Shanghai to New York. Jim Choi is an award-winning director, cinematographer, and sound recordist.
