I'm a Mexican American film maker. I have shot films for the Oscar winner producer director Fisher Stevens. Best known for his academy award winning documentary film in 2009 "The Cove" . I have shot documataris for Vice, National Geographic and Ryot news as well as many other networks and independent productions. My true love is feature film and photography. I do what I love so I don't work a day in my life. I used to work for the tabloid newspaper BILD in Germany (Europe's largest newspaper) where I was part of the crime section in Berlin. As a multimedia reporter I covered the latest crimes that happened in the city. In late 2015 I was sent on an assignment to LA where I worked as a news reporter. I decided to stay and freelance after I met my wife. In 2016 I won the RIAS 1st Digital Media Award in Germany for the documentary "Feuerland Detroit" which I shot and edited on my own. Very recently I finished my first feature length documentary "Bangers to the Bible" which is about a former member of the Crips in LA who became a Bishop.

I got my start in the production world at Lunch and Recess, a production company based out of Charleston, SC creating corporate videos for clients all over the southeast. There I got a crash course in field production doing everything from lighting, gripping, field audio, and of course, shooting. While with L&R I worked with tons of clients and traveled all over the southeast and abroad. Eventually I moved on to WCCB-TV in Charlotte, NC where I regularly shot feature pieces and general news for the round the clock news programs. While there I prided myself on my ability to go back and forth instantaneously from run-&-gun breaking news stories to feature stories with elaborate setups.

I am an aspiring photojournalist and documentarian, and I have created several personal projects, the most recent being a documentary on the homeless population beneath the rain tunnels of Las Vegas. I've directed and produced two feature-length documentaries, and am now directing and shooting my third. I'm also a member of Local 600, and shoot on film and TV sets. What is the role of community in helping us define our humanity?
