I have been honing my skills in editing, color correction, sound design, and more in a variety of programs including Adobe Premier, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, but it is my gifts as a visual storyteller that sets me apart. As a graduate of NYU’s film program and working filmmaker, the most important thing I focus on for the viewer is tapping into my innate sense of rhythm of emotional imagery. I priotize engaging the viewer in a seemingly effortless way. Recent work includes being a lead editor for a video podcast called MilkDrunk. Besides editing their 45 minute episodes, I worked in After Effects to craft visually dynamic intros, outros, and social cut downs which all adhered to the brand’s aesthetic. I also edit short-form documentaries and other motion-graphic heavy commercials, and had to optimize them for both web and instagram formats.

John Javellana (b. 1984, Philippines) is a photojournalist based in Los Angeles, CA. His professional career started in 2008 as he was completing his degree as a Communication Arts major at the De La Salle University when he was hired as a stringer for the Reuters News Agency. After completing his degree, he became one of the youngest photojournalists to work for the wire agencies in the country and has covered most of the major news event up to this day. I love traveling, I love adventure, but most of all I love producing video stories. I've been working in video production since 2012 when I started graduate school at the University of Southern California. It was there that I learned the craft of documentaries. I spent two years living in Anchorage, Alaska, traveling around the state producing videos for Alaska Public Media. My videos ranged from mini documentaries for our Indie Alaska series, to underwriting spots for our sponsors. I now freelance out of Southern California. I'm a one-man band. Taj grew up in the tiny hamlet of Royalston, Massachusetts, a tight-knit community of artists, craftspeople, and small business owners in rural New England. Heeding the call of adventure, Taj traveled to Singapore to hone his filmmaking skills at NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia. He graduated with an MFA in Film Production after shooting films in Pakistan, Korea, Japan, Nicaragua, Singapore, and Kuwait. Upon leaving Asia, Taj returned to his roots in New England to make a series of videos profiling local craftsmen, artists, and small businesses. Erik L. Barnes, owner of ELB Productions, is an accomplished filmmaker, director, and editor. Duc Nguyen has been television producer and journalist for over 10 years. Duc, an avid traveler, has done video documenting work in Vietnam, Cuba, the Andes mountain and in the Amazon river, South America. In 2007, he produced and directed Bolinao 52, his first feature documentary. The documentary portrays the ill-fated journey of a refugee boat that drifted 37 days at sea. The film won the audience choice award for 2007 Vietnamese International Film Festival. It garnered two Northern California Emmy Awards in 2009 for Outstanding Documentary and Music Composition. He also produced STATELESS a documentary about the Vietnamese boat people who were left behind in the Philippines, in 2014.
