Mahala is a director and producer with Courageous Studios, the brand studio for CNN. Previously she was a video journalist working at the Denver Post from 2010-2015. I'm a Brooklyn based video journalist. I have been shooting, editing and producing documentary tv, film, and web content for the past 10 years. I am interested in making news and documentary shorts with a strong focus on human interest stories. Social issue documentaries that touch on issues such as poverty, education, environmental issues and the arts are all areas i am interested in exploring. One project I'm most proud of over the past few years is a series of shorts I produced, shot and edited about severely wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
