BIO Born in Barcelona (1988), I am a Spanish photojournalist and documentalist. My first projects focused mainly on emerging social conflicts in the wake of the economic crisis in Europe: inequality and social breakdown in Spain and Germany. For a few years I was doing a story about a small gypsy community north of Barcelona, La Catalana, where several families were evicted from their homes due to the inevitable growth of the city. I graduated in high school specializing in arts and I studied Humanities at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Focused on photography self-taught, I started working on different documentary projects; some of which were published in Spanish newspapers and magazines. Over time, one of the works was awarded and allowed me to work in the Catalan Press Association for a year. Definitely decided in my professional future, I was awarded a scholarship in photojournalism and documentary photography at the GrisArt school in Barcelona, by Rafa Badía. I have also had the opportunity to participate in workshops with renowned photographers such as Franco Pagetti or Alberto García-Alix. Since 2014 I live in Guatemala City, I worked several years as editor of photography and photographer in the Metro newspaper, I knew the reality of the daily press in a few years when the country was in full political effervescence with the fall of the presidential binomial for a plot of corruption. I had the opportunity to start working in parallel with the Associated Press news agency under commissions on issues of natural disasters such as the tragedy of the Volcán de Fuego, the migratory phenomenon in Central America, and the incessant violence of the Northern Triangle. Also been working as photodocumentary teacher at La Fototeca photography school in Guatemala. Currenly based in Barcelona
