Ksenia Apresian is a documentary photographer, currently based in Berlin. She’s working mostly on long-term personal projects, on the subjects closely connected to her own biography – mostly questioning people’s identity, sexuality, representation, psychology, lifestyle and finding oneself within a new society and community. In her projects she tries to question existing social rules and labels: from having a family, relationships and daily job to living in a big city and being a part of capitalist system. Her works were exhibited and published internationally in such medias as VICE magazine, Tagesspiegel, Lola magazine and Fraction magazine.

I work on projects at the intersections of conflict, environment, migration, and socio-ecological change. During my involvement with conflict transformation projects in the Philippines, I helped to develop collective formats with local filmmakers to spark dialogue and reconciliation through films. Since my debut documentary film “A House in Pieces” (co-directed with Jean Claire Dy), I have dedicated myself fully to filmmaking. My second feature documentary as an editor is “This is our Everything” (directed by Frederik Subei) on the radical resistance against illegal logging by Northern Brazil’s Guajajara people.

Elena Horn is a German filmmaker working as a story producer for ARTE, Youtube Originals, ZDF, WDR, SKY and SPIEGEL TV Wissen. Elena’s films focus on questions around education, migration, working culture, love and ethnic conflict employing visual inspirations from the world of music and dance. As a director, Elena is a fellow of the Logan Non-Fiction Program in New York. Shane Thomas McMillan is a filmmaker and photographer investigating human connections to each other and the planet. As director, co-director, and cinematographer, he has worked on over 100 documentary shorts and multiple feature films in over 25 countries since 2016. His work with an environmental and social focus has sprung from collaborations with organizations like the Jane Goodall Institute, Ecosia, and the Association for Wildlife Protection, among others.
